Check out the technical prowess of Crysis Remastered on the Nintendo Switch

A new trailer for Crysis Remastered is showcasing the many graphical features of the remaster on the Nintendo Switch. Watch it here!

The Crysis remaster for current-gen consoles might have been delayed on the majority of projected platforms but one little system that isn’t part of that is Nintendo’s mighty little handheld-console hybrid. The launch of Crysis Remastered is proceeding as originally planned next week, July 23rd. You can already pre-purchase the game at a sweet budget price of just $29.99.

More than the delay itself it was the circumstances of it that cast a shadow over the remaster. Early leaks not only of the game’s existence but screenshots and a trailer were met with disappointment from the gaming community. In the end, it was that feedback that led to the game’s delay.

With its 2007 release, Crysis set the industry standard for first person shooters with stunning visuals, highly evolved gameplay, and an enormous sandbox world. Crysis Remastered adds new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE’s native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution to update the game for a new generation of hardware.

And as such, the Nintendo Switch port will be the first playable version for some time. With less than a week for the game’s launch there, Crytek has now released a new trailer that goes over the various technical features Switch owners can look forward to.

The list is very impressive indeed and includes cutting-edge technology that is sure to make the Switch version one of the graphical showcase titles on the platform. We also learn that Crysis Remastered will be running in 720p at 30fps. But that’s par for the course when it comes to ambitious Switch ports.

On that front, it’s good news that Saber Interactive is working together with Crytek on the remaster. The studio already proved that expertise with seemingly impossible ports by bringing The Witcher 3 onto the system.
