The Chief Creative Director at Electronic Arts has left the company after more than 30 years of service, EA called him a "pioneer" and has wished him luck in his future endeavors.
Richard Hilleman, Chief Creative Director at Electronic Arts, started his career there back in 1983 and worked there until now, except between the years 2002 and 2004, he had the same employer for 31 years. But now they have parted ways.
According to Hilleman's Linkedin page he started out as a Support Specialist back in 1983 and eventually rose to the position of Chief Creative Director, while making a stop at the position of VP of Production on they way. Hilleman also played a big part in the development of the Madden and NHL games, but now Hilleman has moved on.
In a statement to Gamespot EA wishes Hilleman all the best in his future endeavors and calls him a "pioneer" and someone whose work influenced both games at EA and elsewhere.
"Rich Hilleman is a pioneer–a creative mind whose work influenced many games at EA and beyond. We are thankful to Rich for his contribution over more than 30 years with the company, and we look forward to seeing what he pursues next"
It will be interesting to see where Hilleman ends up next, if he stays in the gaming industry or if he takes a different path.
