Child’s Play charity raises over $20 million in a decade

The Child's Play charity organization, founded in November 2003, has raised over $20 million in the last decade. That includes $2.5 million this year alone.

"These donations have made a remarkable impact in the lives of children in our network of hospitals, which has grown to over 90 facilites worldwide," reads a post on the official Child's Play website. "In addition to our hospital network, donations are now going to provide domestic violence facilities with game carts to help kids and their families through an incredibly traumatic experience."

The charity originally sought to donate toys, games, and other gifts to sick kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital during the holidays.

This year's goal for donations is $3 million. The Child's Play 2013 Auction Dinner will be held on Dec. 5. It's currently sold out.

Child's Play regularly partners with sales like Humble Bundle, which raises money for developers and charity with huge discounts on digital bundles of games.
