Wonder Woman's big screen debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just months away, but fans are already looking ahead to her solo film, which Warner Bros. looks to have begun filming if a series of now-removed photos uploaded to social media are legit.
French actor Saïd Taghmaoui, who you may remember as Caesar in season 4 of ABC's "Lost," recently uploaded photos of himself alongside Chris Pine seemingly on the set of Wonder Woman. It's our first unofficial look at Chris Pine, whose involvement with the film has heavily linked him as Steve Trevor, and damn does he look good.
Based on the actor's attire, it looks like at least part of Wonder Woman will be set in a time other than the current day, which is what we figured would be the case given Trevor's history in the comics. For those unfamiliar, Trevor was an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II. His plane crashed on Paradise Island, homeland of the Amazons, where he was nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana (Wonder Woman) who followed him when he returned to the normal world. She goes on to become Wonder Woman, as well as his co-worker under the identity Diana Prince.
Although Trevor is the primary love interest of Wonder Woman, previous reports have claimed "there will be plenty of action to keep him busy." Judging by the getup, it looks like we'll be seeing some WWII flashbacks at some point.
The standalone Wonder Woman film isn't slated to hit theaters until June 23, 2017, but actress Gal Gadot will make her widely anticipated debut as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016. Fans got a sneak peek of her in the most recent trailer, which you can watch above.
