Christmas Minecraft sales made Notch say “Wowzers!”

To say that Minecraft sold well would be an understatement. As of December 13th, the game sold an approximate of 17.5 million copies. However, on Christmas Day alone, the game sold a whopping 453,000 copies across all platforms, which include the original PC version, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Minecraft: Pocket Edition on iOS and Android devices.

As seen in the tweet below, Marcus "Notch" Persson shared his enthusiasm with the world, stating the amazing sales on the 24th, but then corrected to the 25th

Congrats Notch! We tip our hat to you sir for this grand achievement, and for making such an outstanding game.
