Chucky returns in all new Child’s Play Cult of Chucky film

80's and 90's kids will remember Chucky from all the Child's Play films. A little boy is ecstatic he got his happy new toy friend, of course that's before it turned into a possessed psychotic killer. A new trailer, released today, revealed that a new film will be coming this year in Cult of Chucky.

All the original voice actors have returned. The film will release later this year, but unfortunately no other information was provided other than the trailer. It will be the seventh film in the franchise after Child's Play 1, 2, 3, Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky and Curse of Chucky. All of the films were released over 25 years from 1988 to 2013, with this newest one releasing 29 years after the original.

In addition to the voice cast, it will also feature the original writers and producers in Don Mancini, David Kirshin and Ogden Gavanski. No word on whether Andy, the boy Chucky tries to possess, will return in the film but plot details were light. We'll keep you up to date on new information as its released.
