City building simulation game Cities: Skylines has an official release date and pre-order bonuses. Skylines was first revealed during Gamescom in 2014, during which developer Paradox Interactive decided to highlight a couple features clearly designed at poking fun at SimCity: Offline play and mod support.
It looks like Skylines is continuing to prod the beast. Aside from offering those two features from the get-go, Paradox is now showing off Cities: Skylines' extensive traffic system (a known issue with SimCity).
If you have $29.99 on-hand, you can get you the full game. If you pre-order it prior to its release date you get a number of in-game goodies:
- Five additional in-game items (Basketball Court, Botanical Gardens, Merry-go-round, Bouncy Castle, Dog Park), adding fun, style and practicality to any town!
- Digital art book containing building blueprints and other original concept art
- Four digital postcards
Cities: Skylines will make its official release on March 10th, 2015.
