Claptrap makes big Borderlands 2 PC promises

Borderlands players who may have been disappointed with the PC version of the game are in for some big surprises with Borderlands 2.  Gearbox, particularly Claptrap, is trying to win the hearts of future Borderlands 2 PC players who may have been disappointed by the previous game.

Claptrap, everyone's favorite "friend, awkward acquaintance/despised corporate mascot" left Borderlands 2 players a special message on Friday, promising a whole bunch of new changes that will make Gearbox's upcoming first-person shooter more enjoyable on the PC.

Some of changes include an improved native multiplayer matchmaking system, a Field of View slider, and "better menus".

"I made 100% of the menus in Borderlands 2 mouse usable," Claptrap said.  "Click or scroll whatever you want.  I won't complain."

In addition, the new Borderlands 2 will have fully remappable keybindings for the keyboard and mouse and a "PC-specific" user interface.

"It'll take advantage of all kinds of PC resolutions, but you?  You can take advantage of me any way you like."

And in case you were creeped out by that last statement, Claptrap insists you read it in a Barry White voice.

It looks like Gearbox is hoping to make this work between them, Borderlands 2, and PC players.  You can check out the full love letter, in all its creepiness, here.
