The Clash of Clans developer Supercell has been bought by Chinese Tencent who also happens to own a controlling amount of League of Legends developers Riot Games.
Tencent is quite a big player, they own a controlling amount of the League of Legends developers Riot Games, they also own a fair bit of Epic Games as well, and now Tencent are the owners of the super popular Clash of Clans developer Supercell.
According to the The Wall Street Journal, the price for Clash of Clans and Supercell was $8.6 billion and Tencent now owns 84.3 percent of Finnish Supercell, Supercell itself is valued to a total of $10.2 billion.
Tencent has, with it's partners, bought Supercell from the Japanese telecom company SoftBank. This deal is expected to go through sometime in the third quarter of 2016 and will be completed in stages, the change of ownership won't be instant.
