Cleveland police officer replaces kid’s stolen Pokemon card collection with his own

A 9-year old in Cleveland, Ohio, was left distraught when his binder of Pokemon cards was stolen while walking to his friend's house.

Bryce had hoped that his collection would be found by the police however it was discovered that while the thief was caught, much of the collection was missing.

Such bad news left the boy heartbroken until Officer Jimmy Grotenrath of the Cleveland Police Department’s 4th District presented Bryce with a gift.

As seen in the short video above, Grotenrath dug out his old collection of Pokemon cards and handed Bryce his entire collection to make up for his recent loss.

The officer said: “It's a priceless item but it's better to see someone else smile and in my book, like my partner says, it's happy to see a citizen smile instead of always frowning upon us and looking the other way."

Bryce revealed that Grotenrath's collection included a limited edition 'Ancient Mew' card too, much to the jubilation of the young collector.
