Cliffy B Says Wii U Haters Will Still Buy the Console

Epic Games designer Cliff Bleszinski recently discussed the Wii U on IndustryGamers. According to the Gears of War creator, people will buy the Wii U when it hits the market next year. Sure, they'll talk crap about it, but they'll still buy it, said Bleszinksi.

"From what I've seen, it looks pretty cool," stated the outspoken designer. "It seems like you can stream your game from your television directly to your [tablet] controller, so if you have irritable bowel syndrome, or a small bladder, you can still play it in the toilet. That's great."

According to Bleszinski, the Wii U is an idea based on older technology advanced and done right for the modern era of gaming, and people will buy it because it's a product from the Big N. "It's Nintendo," said the Gears creator. "I'll buy it. I know I'll buy it. They'll talk sh*t but they'll buy it."

Cliffy B has always had an open mind, and it's interesting to hear what he has to say about the Wii U and all of the skeptics. No word on whether or not Epic has jumped on board to develop for the Wii U just yet, but given the console's expected technical specs, we're bound to see some Unreal Engine-powered games for Nintendo's HD console during its lifespan.
