Clone Drone in the Danger Zone rides into Steam Early Access

Congratulations human! Clone Drone in the Danger Zone has officially made its debut on Steam today via its Early Access program after being greenlit in a mere three days. On top of that, developer Doborog Games has also released a fire-themed update which brings (as you might imagine) fire weapons, fire traps, and an ability called Flame Breath.

Doborog Games founder Erik Rydeman explained the reasoning behind the inclusion of fire-themed weapons into the game. He said:

"Part of our strategy is releasing something new and spectacular with each update. This time we asked ourselves: What if everything… WAS ON FIRE!???"

That's really all you need, isn't it? Clone Drone in the Danger Zone has a been a best seller on itch.io for some time now, proving to be incredibly successful in the Streaming world, with big name streamers (such as jacksepticeye) devoting entire broadcasts to showing off their skills in the fight to save their human consciousness.

Here's a list of the new features that are officially live in Clone Drone in the Danger Zone courtesy of an official press release.

  • The Inferno Challenge: 10 new levels to experience with you and your enemy…on fire! Cackle with delight as you kick an enemy into the bubbling hot lava.
  • Endless Weapon Challenge: Inspired by fan-favorite YouTubers, there is now official support for weapon challenges!
  • Powerful abilities to unlock: With each challenge conquered, you’ll unlock new deadly abilities and weapons in the Upgrade Tree. Earn yourself a new Steam achievement along the way!

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is targeting the end of 2017 as the point to leave Early Access, assuming of course that everything in the game is ready to go. You can expect updates to hit the game's story mode, enemies, abilities, game modes, and Twitch experience over the coming months.

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is available to buy on Steam right now and retails for $14.99.
