Closed beta registration for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege now open

Closed beta registration for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has opened up, presumably months ahead of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 beta rumored to arrive later this year.

Yesterday, Ubisoft confirmed that upcoming first-person shooter would be getting a beta on Xbox One and PS4, following the PC-exclusive closed alpha, but the only known way of getting in was to pre-order the game. Pre-ordering is still the only way to guarantee access to the beta, but over on the Ubisoft website you can sign up to be on the waiting list.

Registering for the closed beta is pretty easy and straightforward. You enter your preferred platform and then Ubisoft asks you a few questions, like how much time in the past six months you've spent playing first-person shooters and if you've ever playing a Tom Clancy Rainbow Six game.

It's not yet clear when registrants will be notified, but I assume it won't be for a few months. Dates for both the closed alpha and closed beta will be announced at a later date, according to Ubisoft.

Those of you interested can sign up for the closed beta here.
