Cloud gaming via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starts tomorrow

Today is a great day for gamers. Microsoft is finally launching its cloud gaming service xCloud. Tomorrow, subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service can enjoy the futuristic way of gaming via the cloud on their Android mobile devices.

Microsoft has been trailing behind its most direct competitor Sony for the entire console generation. Due to questionable strategies with the brand starting out even before the Xbox One came out, Sony was given a free pass in terms of success.

But with management change and Phil Spencer on the helm, team Xbox turned around the ship magnificently. One of the best things that came during this time is Xbox Game Pass. The gaming subscription with insane value paved the way for many other gaming subs.

This is a pivotal step on our journey to put the player at the center of their experience and empower gamers to play the games they want, with the people they want, anywhere they want. What you’ll see on day one is just the beginning. Over time we’ll continue to innovate and add more games that you want.

As if that wasn’t enough, Microsoft further invested heavily in cloud gaming. Project xCloud is the lovechild of this, and after extensive beta phases, it’s now available for everyone. Well, everyone with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

More than 150 games are instantly available for users to enjoy, either in the comfort of their homes or out in the wild. As long as your phone or tablet has a good mobile internet connection. Don’t be fooled. This is where next-gen starts. Cloud Gaming is an industry where platform holders are investing a lot and there is little doubt that it will play a big role in the future.

The service is now integrated as a free upgrade for every Xbox Game Pass Ultimate owner which makes the deal only that much sweeter. Sadly, only Android users are able to enjoy it as Apple is forbidding Microsoft from offering this service on iOS.
