Today developer Pwnee Studios announced release dates for Cloudberry Kingdom on four different platforms.
The platformer is arriving first on PlayStation Network on July 30. It will hit Xbox Live Arcade and Steam the day after and the Wii U eShop on August 1 (it was originally supposed to launch with Nintendo's console last November). The developer is pricing the game at $10 (800 Microsoft Points) across all platforms. Pwnee also confirmed that the game is headed to PlayStation Vita later this year.
Cloudberry Kingdom received $23,000 in crowdfunding on Kickstarter in early 2012. Ubisoft is providing marketing support, a controversial choice for the indie developer, which assured fans it wasn't "selling out."
The game is built with a random level generator, which means every experience is different. Players can choose from 10 heroes, unlock others, or make their own in the Hero Factory. Cloudberry Kingdom features local multiplayer and co-op and includes several modes such as Story, Free Play, and Arcade.
