Club Nintendo update will make you 10 coins poorer

Nintendo's latest decision will make you 10 coins poorer with every Wii and DS game you register under Club Nintendo.

The change, which goes into effect on April 7, affects both digital and retail copies of newly registered Wii and DS games. Essentially, you'll no longer be able to take post-play surveys for them, which would earn you 10 coins apiece. Club members can collect coins to redeem for Nintendo-themed rewards like posters and figurines.

Wii and DS games will continue to receive production registration surveys, however.

"In addition, starting on April 7, the deadline to complete newly earned post-play surveys for all games will be 30 days after they are issued," the update reads.
