As we expected, the big announcement from Codemasters was a mobile version of Colin McRae Rally, now out on iOS devices. The "re-imagined" iOS version is based on 2001's Colin McRae Rally 2.0. It sports overhauled graphics, optional tilt control, and 30 unique rally stages with over 130km of track. The game's original cars and tracks also see a return.
We're bringing that classic Colin McRae Rally experience to a new generation of gamers and devices with the release of Colin McRae Rally for iOS. This is our first Rally game for these platforms, and we wanted to make tackling every turn and jump of the point-to-point courses on your mobile just as satisfying as playing on home consoles, so we went back to those early titles as inspiration to recreate an experience with the soul of the original but much more focused on what was at the core of the series, Stage Rally.
Colin McRae Rally is currently available for $4.99 on both iPhone and iPad.
