Electronic Arts has released the first proper reveal trailer for the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection. The publishers also shared the release date for it which is June 5th when it will launch on PC via Steam & Origin. Watch the new trailer here!
It’s a great time to be a fan of both the real-time strategy genre and classic PC gaming. With the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection PC gamers are soon getting a sweet remaster of two of the most genre-defining and important games of the 90s. While the RTS genre is basically relegated to the niche these days, it’s presence and popularity during the 90s cannot be overstated.
At the spear tip of this were the legendary masterminds at Westwood who revolutionized the genre with the Command & Conquer series. The early titles, in particular, are among the most-beloved and nostalgia-filled gaming experiences for many Millenials. As such, the news of a remaster for the first two entries two years ago was an unexpected gift from Electronic Arts to genre fans.
Find out how the experts at Petroglyph Games (including some of the key members of the original Westwood Studios team) and Lemon Sky Studios worked closely with the community to create the ultimate C&C experience for original and new fans alike.
Finally, there will be an easy way to experience the surprisingly great campaigns of Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert with an all-new coat of paint. Entirely redone assets, animations and ultra-high resolution support should do their part of portraying the game as impressive as it remained in your nostalgia.
As if the near release date wasn’t good already, we now also know that the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection will cost just $19.99. A steal for what are two of the still best RTS games to date. You can pre-order the collection right now on Steam and Origin.
