Overwatch's Game Director Jeff Kaplan has announced that the game's competitive ranked mode will hit during June, and will be included in the game's first big update.
Kaplan was questioned on the expected timeframe by which a competitive mode would launch for Overwatch during a recent Q&A session on Facebook, where he responded with the following:
"So our first big content update for Overwatch will be Competitive mode. I don't want to promise an exact date because I'm sure whatever date I say right now will be wrong!
My rough commitment or not-commitment would be sometime towards the end of June – middle-to-end of June we want to have Competitive mode in. We already have it in internally."

Also, Blizzard has announced that cheaters in the game will not be handed any second chances, with the developer promising that wrongdoers will be banned on their first offence.
Overwatch officially launched today and is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
