Conan Exiles has had a lot of people intrigued ever since Funcom's publishing agreement with Conan Properties was announced last December. It will be the first of three games, with Exiles being set in a first person format and more of a survival approach.
A new trailer released today for Xbox One and PC shows that early access will be available beginning next year. PC players will be able to get their hands on it January 31st, while Xbox One users will need to wait until Spring for Game Preview. Exiles is a survival type game where you'll need to forage for food, supplies and shelter while sacrificing your enemies, chopping off their heads and dragging them by a rope.
Just remember: in this brutal land of vengeful gods, bloodthirsty cannibals, and vicious monsters, survival is more than tracking down food and water. Explore mysterious ruins in search of treasure and knowledge, but beware the risk of your mind being corrupted by the dark forces of the world. Traverse vast sand dunes and seek shelter from scouring sandstorms sweeping across the burning sands. March into war against your enemies and unleash your savage fury in brutal combat. Go in unprepared and it will be your head rolling and limbs flying.
No word on when a full release will come, but the game has been in development for just under a year so far as it was announced last December. Typical two-three year cycles show that we are still a bit off from a full game. Then again it is early access, so who knows what will happen and if the full game will even release.
