Conan Exiles officially gets mod support, future details coming at GDC 2017

I expect tons of NSFW mods are in the works...

With all the people who are running around the world of Conan Exiles naked, the news that the game's mod workshop being officially open is probably going to invite a lot of…unique creations to be made available to the public. Funcom Games has announced that the custom Conan Exiles Dev Kit is now available for download immediately and that the game's Steam Workshop is up and running. Check that; there is a mod that grants shaved and oiled characters for even more naked fun.

Conan Exiles has been quick to dominate the Steam sales charts, easily grabbing the #1 spot after selling 320K units in its first week, which Funcom says resulted in the company already recouping all development costs.

Funcom CEO Rui Casais said:

“We are deeply humbled and very grateful for the initial success of Conan Exiles. Funcom has gone through some challenging times in recent years and seeing the game we have poured so much time and effort into gain this amount of traction so quickly is very invigorating for everyone who works here. This is just the start of the Early Access adventure and we will do whatever it takes to make sure Conan Exiles turns into a fully-fledged game that has something to offer new and old fans of both Conan and survival games.”

The developers will be attending GDC 2017 in San Francisco later this month and will be talking about the future of Conan Exiles to the press. There will be a showing of some new content as well as new features that the developers are working on.

If you're interested in developing mods for Conan Exiles, head over to the Unreal website and download the Unreal launcher to access the dev kit.
