John Constantine returns to the TV screen, sort of. The occult detective with a cult following had previously been featured in a short-lived TV show in 2014. That Constantine was live-action, while this new one will be animated and broadcast on CW Seed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first season of the show will be "five or six 10-minute episodes". CW Seed is already the home of another DC hero animated show Vixen, who, like Constantine, has shown up numerous times in CW's Arrow. The original Constantine can also be viewed on CW Seed for those who missed it before.
Actor Matt Ryan will be reprising his role as Constantine, though this time as a voice actor. Hopefully, this calls for more Constantine crossovers with the "mainstays" in the CW Arrowverse.
