Contra and four other games go backward compatible for Xbox One

If you're an Xbox One owner, you can look forward to a number of classic games making their way to the Xbox through thanks to the backward compatibility feature today! Five games in total have been added to the Xbox One's backward compatibility feature, highlighted by Konami's Contra.

Contra

  • Originally released in 1988, Contra is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up filled with all types of futuristic monsters.

Roboblitz

  • Released in 2006 as an Xbox Live Arcade game and received a number of awards.

3D Ultra Minigolf

Golf: Tee It Up

  • Released in 2008 as an Xbox Live Arcade game. Contains three total playable courses and two 18-hole courses.

Gin Rummy

  • Released in 2008, contains six variations of gin rummy, including Classic Gin Rummy, Speed Gin Rummy, Oklahoma Gin, Hollywood Gin, and Three-Hand Gin

Earlier this month we saw Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 go backward compatible for the Xbox One.
