Controversial shooter, Hatred, gets a release date

Destructive Creations has announced the release date for Hatred, the indie studio's highly controversial isometric shooter which puts you in the shoes of a mass murderer on a senseless killing spree.

Hatred will officially release for PC on June 1, 2015. The studio's reasoning behind the date is actually quite amusing.

"Initially we were planning to announce the release date for Hatred on May 19th, but… well honestly speaking we will be playing The Witcher 3 then. 😉 So we’ve decided to announce today that the game will launch on June 1st 2015," said Destructive Creations Creative Director Jarosław Zieliński.

"Hatred will then be released on PC and the game will be available in Polish, Russian, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese."

Destructive Creations previously said they'd "love" to bring the controversial shooter to Xbox One and PS4 as well, but I doubt that'll happen given its Adults Only rating.

Hatred dominated the headlines shortly after it was revealed via a very violent and gruesome trailer. Concerns over the game's disturbing premise initially led to its removal from Steam Greenlight, only to have Valve co-founder Gabe Newell step in, apologize to the developers, and reinstate it.

Celebrating the announcement, Destructive Creations released a brand new gameplay trailer showing the unnamed Antagonist fighting with police forces, car crashes, fully destructible environments, explosions, and just about all the excessive, bloody violence you would expect from an Adults Only game.
