If you're going to release a program named after a character from an insanely successful franchise, you better include some easter eggs. The latest major system update to hit the Xbox One brought Microsoft's digital assistant 'Cortana' to the Xbox after plenty of testing on Windows 10.
Cortana didn't come alone though, and no, I'm not talking about the system update bringing other features (which it did). Microsoft brought Cortana to the Xbox One with a ton of easter eggs, mostly about Halo and some about Microsoft.
One of the Easter Eggs answers an age-old question for Halo fans, does Cortana love Master Chief? Well, she doesn't outright say no, but she doesn't say yes either. Apparently, she doesn't "doodle his name" in her notebook.
If you want to explore the Halo easter eggs, here's what you should ask her yourself: Tell me about elites. Tell me about grunts. Tell me about jackals. Tell me about hunters. Tell me about the Didact. Tell me about the Librarían. Tell me about Guilty Spark. Where is Master Chief? Do you love Master Chief? Which one is your favorite Halo game? What's Halo?
As far as Microsoft easter eggs go, here are some:
-
"Hey Cortana, Do You Like Xbox?"
- Reply: "Halo Is Where the Heart Is, Home is Where The Halo Is"
-
"Hey Cortana, Do You Like Bill Gates?"
- Reply: "I Quite Literally Can't Imagine A World Without Him"
-
"Hey Cortana, Are You Hot?"
- Reply: "I Am Code."
There are plenty more easter eggs to explore! Go out and discover them all!
