After three Batman films from Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale, we become accustomed to a Batman movie suit that looks better than the one George Clooney donned, complete with nipples. With Batman vs. Superman in pre-production, we're going to have to get used to a new look for Batman — and it better be good!
Costume designer Michael Wilkinson, who has worked on 300, Jonah Hex, Watchmen and Man of Steel, said that they're finalizing the costumes for Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
Wilkinson said, "We are now in the stage where we're refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting."
He also mentioned that in addition to the new looks for Batman and Wonder Woman, there have been "tweaks" made to Superman's costume. Didn't he inherit the costume from his dad? Should he just be making alterations to it whenever he feels like it?
Batman vs. Superman — starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman — will open in theaters on July 17, 2015.
