Could Gran Turismo 6 really release on the PS3 only?

The latest round of Sony teasers suggest that Gran Turismo 6 might really only release for the PlayStation 3 — something SCEE SVP Michael Denny hinted to a while back. Of course, being the stubborn lads we were, we had to keep prying, searching for any hints that the new Gran Turismo will also release on the PS4 (or possibly the Vita).

I'm still a firm believer that Gran Turismo 6 could be the mysterious big game for the Vita that was teased last week, but I'm not so convinced about a PS4 release anymore. As most everyone is aware by now, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is hosting an event to celebrate the driving simulator's 15th anniversary where they are teasing "exciting announcements" about the future of the franchise.

To help promote the event, Sony France updated their website with a banner bearing the PS3 logo. No other platform was mentioned alongside the event, suggesting Gran Turismo 6 may be a PS3 exclusive. I have to admit, this makes me kind of sad.
