Crackdown 3 gameplay reveal flaunts multiplayer and destructible environments

During its Gamescom 2015 presentation, Microsoft today offered a first look at the gameplay of Crackdown 3. The new footage is a welcomed update after the game’s E3 2015 absence, and doubles down on the multiplayer aspect of its open world.

Crackdown 3 is built on the verticality of its environments and the ease of traversing them. Player abilities aside, this is made simple by a transformable vehicle. Thanks to Cloud computing, offering "20 times the computational power of your Xbox One," as developer Reagent put it, totally destructible environments can also be added into the mix, opening up further paths for exploration. These and other features will also be present in the game’s newly revealed multiplayer, ratcheting up the chaos yet again.

Crackdown 3 will launch with multiplayer support exclusively on Xbox One in summer 2016.
