Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time finally unveiled, Launches this October

Activision has just revealed a brand-new Crash Bandicoot title with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Fans of iconic mascot with attitude can look forward to experiencing the first really new adventure since the PS1 era. Check out the announcement trailer here!

After leaked images and rating board entries, Activision has ultimately unveiled Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. It marks a monumental occasion for the red menace who is getting the first proper major entry after three entire console generations.

While 2017’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was an excellent package that brought back the classic PlayStation 1 games with a splendid remake makeover, they were ultimately still old games made anew. But exactly thanks to those remaster, the Crash Bandicoot franchise has experienced a resuscitation.

The core experience of what makes Crash Bandicoot games so entertaining – an intense and hilarious 3D platforming experience defined by a certain marsupial’s brash attitude – remains faithfully intact, but with a number of new twists: This includes a reimagined and updated art style, new gameplay mechanics, and innovative abilities, like being able to switch between Modern and Retro modes of play: These are all features that allow longtime fans and new players alike to enjoy Crash’s latest adventure!

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a brilliant title too. Not only does it vent about the belated comeback of Crash but it also alludes to the game’s story. With the evil foes literally trying to take over the entire multiverse, Crash and Coco will have to fight Neo Cortex and Dr. N. Tropy across a multitude of locations and times!

It’s actually quite fascinating how similar the setting of the new Crash game sounds at first glance to Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, but Crash Bandicoot’s signature writing and gameplay are more than enough for it to stand out.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set to launch on October 2nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One for $59.99.
