Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time launch trailer is dimension-hopping fun

Activision has released the launch trailer for the incoming Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The first true sequel in over a decade will launch next month, October 2nd, exclusively on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Watch the new trailer below!

The edgy platformer mascot is back in the spotlight. After a successful return with the outstanding N. Sane Trilogy of PS1 remakes, Crash and his friends are going for their first brand-new adventure in a long time.

The title is the name of the game with It’s About Time promising to deliver a whacky and diverse adventure for players. Not only will there be time traveling but dimension traveling, too.

But that’s not where the innovations end. With the addition of game-changing Masks to the fray, Crash Bandicoot 4 is also going to enhance the gameplay mechanics beyond visual changes of each area.

Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are back at it again and launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse! Crash and Coco are here to save the day by reuniting the Four Quantum masks and bending the rules of reality.

The range of effects these masks have vary wildly, from some changing the direction of gravity to bullet-time masks, and much more. Not only will you have to master the difficult and dangerous levels themselves but wisely chose the right mask for the right job.

New playable characters – including the evil Neo Cortex – make Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time a promising new main entry into the venerable series. It’s a great reboot of a franchise that pretty much died just until a few years ago.

While Crash Bandicoot 4 is only targeting to launch on PS4 & Xbox One, we suspect that PC and Switch ports will be coming sometime later down the line. It would be weird otherwise since the N. Sane Trilogy made its way onto every platform eventually as well.
