Crash Bandicoot once again teased for revival

Is this becoming a Last Guardian like thing?

Sony has been taking Crash Bandicoot fans on an emotional rollercoaster with the shear amount of teases they have made for the game. They have tweeted an image, worn Crash Bandicoot shirts at events, and have even led partner toy companies to accidentally suggest the game is coming back. Of course, the toy company immediately backtracked on their statement.

Put your seat belts on, the emotional rollercoaster is about to take off for a another fun-filled, heartbreaking ride. The question is, will this game ever really come to life?

A Crash Bandicoot fan-forum runner came across a Facebook post (via NeoGaf) from Lex Lang that suggests Crash Bandicoot is being revived.

Lex Lang

Lang teased that he had been asked to resurrect three different characters, from three different games: A doctore, a devil and a droid/AI. Without disclosing any more information on the subject, fans have moved forward with the theory that his 'doctor' revival will be the one and only Doctor Neo Cortex from Crash Bandicoot.

Lang voiced Doctor Neo Cortex between 2004 and 2008, unfortunately, he has also voiced Marvel Heroes' Doctor Doom. However, Marvel Heroes was re-branded this year and has already released, making it unlikely that this is the doctor he would be 'resurrecting.'

But wait, there's more!

In addition to this, an insider named Bruce (via Reddit), who has revealed Bloodborne, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and the new relationship between Acitision and PlayStation (for Call of Duty), has further suggested that Crash is making a comeback and that it will be teased during E3 2016. Bruce went on to suggest that the project has been in talks/development for 6 to 12 months.

Perhaps all of this was teased by Naughty Dog (like they teased Uncharted in The Last of Us) in the Crash Bandicoot easter egg in Uncharted 4.
