For PlayStation(R)2

LOS
ANGELES, CA – May 14, 2001 – Crave Entertainment today announced their next
title in the ever-popular Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC) series, "UFC:
Throwdown", exclusively for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment
system. Designed specifically for the PlayStation 2, "Throwdown"
will feature actual UFC athletes and a variety of gameplay modes, all
incorporating the best of mixed martial arts techniques.

"The
UFC franchise has taken on a life of its own," said Holly Newman,
Executive Vice President of Crave Entertainment. "With incredible
gameplay and amazingly realistic graphics, the PlayStation 2 is able to propel
the brand forward, making marked improvements in the game’s core
elements."

UFC,
one of the most-watched pay-per-view event series ever created, will make its
debut on the PlayStation 2 packed with a stable of over 25 actual fighters,
from current light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz to some of the classic UFC
fighters from the past. "Throwdown" will present a wealth of options
and play modes, with an incredibly fast and furious Arcade Mode, round robin
multi-player Tournament Mode, and the traditional standard modes of play
including UFC Mode, Champion Mode, and of course, a completely customizable
Career Mode.

Like
any UFC athlete, training and practice will be the cornerstones of building a
well-rounded fighter in Career Mode. In addition to being able to create a
fighter from a host of faces, body types, tattoos and more, players will also
be able to train them through a variety of mini games as well as sparring.

With
the intense sparring workout, custom fighters will have the opportunity to
visit different gyms, practice different fighting styles, and learn moves
associated with different arts like jiu jitsu, karate and boxing. Within the
career mode, the player will also be able to compete in and unlock different
tournaments. Career mode even includes specialty tournaments that are
grappling only, kicking only, etc.

"Ultimate
Fighting Championship: Throwdown" is scheduled to ship 1st quarter 2002.
