Create your own space program with Mars Horizon

Sign up for the upcoming beta

Fans of strategic simulators can look forward to next week when Mars Horizon will have a week-long beta. The charming simulator lets you fulfill your dreams of creating your very own space program tasked to explore our mysterious red neighbor. Here’s the announcement trailer!

The small indie developer Auroch Digital has good reason to celebrate. Not only is the small studio going to hold a beta for their ambitious space-sim Mars Horizon next week. But the team also managed to secure a publisher with The Irregular Corporation, vastly increasing the chances of their game reaching the masses.

And boy does it look like they deserve it. Not only is the simulation sub-genre of conquering the vast darkness in a realistically – thanks to Kerbal Space Program – but Mars Horizon is being created directly with input and help from the European Space Agency ESA. Europes counterpart to NASA.

In Mars Horizon, you take control of a major space agency, leading it from the dawn of the space age through to landing astronauts on Mars. Guide your agency through the space race and write your alternate history of space travel – any of the agencies can be the first to land on The Moon if you make the right choices. Manage the numerous challenges faced then and now.
Will you push to stay ahead of the other agencies, or focus on testing and research? There are multiple ways to ensure the first person on Mars is under your command. Every choice matters: will you invest in the most advanced technology or take risks in the rush to the red planet?

So, the pedigree for scientific greatness packed into an enjoyable game is definitely here. Thankfully, you are heartily invited to try out the simulator before its official launch in a beta that is going to take place between April 27th – May 4th. You only have to sign up to enter for it on the game’s website.

Mars Horizon slated to launch sometime this year on PC via Steam.
