Creative Mode coming to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition

Despite Minecraft’s successful venture onto XBLA, the game’s been sorely missing one beloved feature PC fans have raved for quite some time: Creative Mode. Thankfully, Mojang and 4J Studios have officially revealed plans to bring the mode over to the Xbox 360.

In a nutshell, Creative Mode strips the mining aspect of the game and turns itself into a mega game of virtual Legos. Indeed, in the mode you’ll have every tool, block, and weapon at your disposal so that you can focus solely on building.

Creative Mode, though widely popular, isn’t everyone’s favorite mode. Many believe it chokes out the fun of Minecraft, but in reality, Creative Mode has allowed players to create unimaginable projects, such as a remodel of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

4J Studios have not announced an official release for the 1.8.2 update to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, but we imagine that’ll be sooner rather than later. Until then, you can bask in all of Creative Mode’s glory with a new trailer of the mode on the 360 edition.
