Nebula Online is an interesting technical experiment in the sense that it's taking a genre that is heavy on the technical fortitude (MMO) and making it the same experience whether you are on PC or a (much less powerful) mobile device. The game has been on Steam's Early Access program since January 5th of this year, trying to get the jump on the release calendar.
Developer Mizar Games has announced that they are ready to release the game in full, and will do so on September 29th, 2016. Nebula Online takes place in a galaxy populated by three races, the Humans, the Kriptizids, and the Borguzands, who are all vying for control. Players engage in real-time PVP ship battles to expand the territorial dominion of their race.
Here's a list of the game's main features:
- Fight global space battles in real time
- Choose between 3 different races: Humans, Borguzands and Kriptizids
- Assemble your unique ship through modules
- Control your economy
- Build your own space stations
- Explore an infinite universe
- Vote for your leaders
- Occupy foreign territory
