Sinxsoft pulled its new game Cross Reverie from Kickstarter a short time ago and had a lof of people wondering why? After all, the game was being funded well and was the recipient of good expectations from both press and its backers. Without any explanation why, Sinxsoft issued a statement on the matter recently to explain the future of the game. With the way development was going, they believed that crowd funding was not the way to go as many enemies would need to be palette swapped and their two year old artwork couldn't be upgraded.
The developer stated that "Some people might call us crazy or stubborn, but we prefer staying true to our vision with everything else being secondary." With many offers from private investors both during and after their kickstarter campaign, Sinxsoft reported that they finally received one that would allow them to retain control over their vision and the Cross Reverie's development. Also because of this, they will be able to bring the game to consoles as their original stretch goals from kickstarter indicated with PlayStation consoles being first. They will be followed up by both Wii U and Xbox One. Their is currently a window of Q3 2016 for release
Cross Reverie will feature up to eight characters as they attempt to fight in the trial of nightmares. A crafting system and turn based battle system will allow for multiple endings and replays of the game as each character will see their own story come to fruition.
