Crysis 3 is going to push the current generation of consoles to the limit, according to Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli.
Speaking out on Twitter, Yerli boasted, "Crysis 3 will push the Xbox 360, PS3 to its limits."
And I tend to believe him. The original Crysis was widely hailed as one of the best graphically looking games. At the time, very few PCs could handle the game all the way turned up; it was a game that was way ahead of its time. Even now, some computers struggle to run it.
Of course, Crysis 2 was released for all platforms: PC, Xbox 360, and PC. Needless to say, it looked damn good as well. But how is Crysis 3 going to stack up to its predecessor?
According to Yerli, it'll be "ahead of Crysis 2, but Crysis 3 on PC will be clearly ahead."
"Crysis 3 is a thrilling mix of sandbox gameplay, advanced combat and hi-tech human and alien weaponry that shooter fans will love Leveraging the latest CryENGINE technology, we’re able to deliver seven unique themes that offer stunning and visually loaded gameplay experiences. We cannot wait until people get their hands on the game."
Crysis 3 is due out in Spring 2013 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
