Cut the Rope 2 sweetens iOS later this month

Cut the Rope 2, the official sequel to 2010's physics-puzzler Cut the Rope, is launching exclusively on iOS on Dec. 19.

Players help the candy-loving creature Om Nom finds his way home by solving puzzles in different environments like a forest and city park. The main goal is, as before, to strategically cut ropes to make candies fall into On Nom's open mouth, but different mechanics — like balloons and whoopee cushions — increase the challenge.

The sequel also introduces new helper characters, like a flying creature named Roto, and features a bigger story.

The Cut the Rope games have collectively tallied over 400 million downloads.
