Daenerys Targaryen will be heading to a galaxy far, far away in Han Solo film

Game of Thrones, Terminator, and now Star Wars. Emilia Clarke is touching them all now with the official announcement via StarWars.com that the actress best known for her role as Danny Targaryen will appear alongside Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff film. As it stands now, it is unknown what character Clarke will play, but the official Star Wars site says that her role "will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures."

That doesn't say much, but it could potentially indicate that Han and Chewie will be on the move quite a bit if the characters they meet along the way are such a big deal. And why wouldn't they be, especially now with the casing of Clarke?

The Han Solo spinoff will take place between Episode's III and IV and will portray Han's early life as a smuggler. There are also rumors that the film will reveal how Lando Calrissian lost the Millenium Falcon to Solo, but that has yet to be confirmed. While there hasn't been a whole lot regarding information, we do know that the tone is expected to be "dramatic, funny, and unexpected," according to one of its cinematographers, Bradford Young.
