Dallas Cowboys sit atop the NFC East in Madden NFL 16

Washington Redskins – 75 Overall

The Washington Redskins are a mess. And it starts at the quarterback position where they have tons of mediocre talent: Robert Griffin III (78 OVR), Kirk Cousins (73 OVR), and Colt McCoy (73 OVR). If the Redskins could find a quarterback, they could be better than their 75 overall indicates.

Other notable players include:

  • WR DeSean Jackson – 88 OVR
  • WR Pierre Garcon – 83 OVR
  • RT Brandon Scherff – 80 OVR
  • HB Alfred Morris – 84 OVR
  • LOLB Ryan Kerrigan – 90 OVR
  • RE Jason Hatcher – 87 OVR
  • DT Terrance Knighton – 88 OVR

New York Giants – 77 Overall

The Giants had a rough season last year — plagued by injuries. It wasn't all bad, though, as they discovered some new talent in wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (94 OVR). The breakout star has a big hurdle to overcome this season, however: the Madden Curse. Should things not work out for Beckham Jr., veteran QB Eli Manning (87 OVR) does have some help in Victor Cruz (84 OVR). The Giants have talent, but can it all come together?

Other notable players include:

  • OT Ereck Flowers – 76 OVR
  • HB Rashad Jennings – 80 OVR
  • SS Landon Collins – 74 OVR
  • CB Prince Amakamura – 86 OVR
  • RE Jason Pierre-Paul – 89 OVR
  • CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie – 88 OVR

Philadelphia Eagles – 84 Overall

The Philadelphia Eagles, led by the accused racist Chip Kelly, had one of the busiest offseasons in the entire NFL. Sure, the Eagles brought in former-Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray (94 OVR), but let's be honest, he was a product of that beastly Dallas Cowboys offensive line. Can he continue that success? The Eagles line is nothing to scoff at — led by LT Jason Peters (96 OVR), RT Lane Johnson (88 OVR), and C Jason Kelce (87 OVR) — but there's another question mark with Murray: his health. After swapping Nick Foles for Sam Bradford, trading LeSean McCoy, and releasing Jeremy Maclin, the Eagles have plenty of question marks

Other notable players include:

  • HB Ryan Mathews – 84 OVR
  • CB Byron Maxwell – 84 OVR
  • CB Walter Thurmond – 75 OVR
  • CB Eric Lowe – 72 OVR
  • MLB Kiko Alonso – 87 OVR

Continuing to reveal teams' overalls in Madden NFL 16, EA today featured the NFC East — home to my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. As the reigning division champs, it's no surprise to see America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys, as the NFC East's top-rated team in Madden NFL 16 — especially given their core unit. After falling just a few yards short of the NFC Championship, which they ultimately would've won and gone to the Super Bowl, it's now up to you to overcome the referee's blown call and get them back to the promised land. It won't be easy though, as the Philadelphia Eagles are right on their heels, despite getting rid of arguably all their best players.

Check out the NFC East ratings in Madden NFL 16 below:

Dallas Cowboys – 86 Overall

The Dallas Cowboys lost running back DeMarco Murray this offseason, but who needs him with this beast offensive line? Anchored by LT Tyron Smith (93 OVR), RG Zack Martin (92 OVR), and C Travis Frederick (91 OVR) the Cowboys needs only to block for Tony Romo (93 OVR) so that he can pass his way down the field to WR Dez Bryant (96 OVR) and TE Jason Witten (93 OVR).

Other notable players include:

  • ROLB Sean Lee – 89 OVR
  • MLB Rolando McClain – 86 OVR
  • Orlando Scandrick – 88 OVR
