Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, and Jean Smart all set to join upcoming X-Men series Legion

Dan Stevens stars as David, Professor X's son

The upcoming Marvel series on FX, Legion, has just landed some actors for the main roles;  Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, and Jean Smart are all set to join the cast.

Dan Stevens (Downtown Abbey) will be front and center as he portrays Professor X's son, David Heller. In the comics, David is a haunted man trying to find his way back to sanity; he's getting tired and is about to give up when he meets the girl of his dreams.

Here is the official synopsis of the show:

Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Rec) is cast to play Lenny, a friend of Haller who struggles with a drug addiction, but remains optimistic. While Jean Smart (Fargo) plays as a therapist named Melanie. Smart joins Rachel Keller, another actress from the hit show Fargo, as she plays the female lead, Syd, a self-sufficient and street smart woman who uses her sharp and prickly demeanor to protect her soft core.

Production on Legion will begin in March, no premiere date has been announced as of yet. Stick with Gamezone for further updates.
