Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be escaping to North America

For you hardcore Danganronpa fans, this new announcement from NIS’ annual press event should absolutely tickle your fancy. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is coming to both North America and Europe sometime this fall. It'll be available in both digital and physical form, and will will be accessible on both PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV.

You remember Makoto Naegi right? Well, the little sister Komaru Naegi has been imprisoned inside a horrific apartment for well over a year. One day, while being attacked by hundreds of Monokumas, she is rescued by the Future Foundation member Byakuya Togami. In a plot to destroy all adults and make Towa City a ‘Children’s Paradise,’ this group of kids — calling themselves the Warriors of Hope — have taken action. Through teaming up with Toko Fukawa, you’ll have to survive, escape from the kids, and discover the secrets of the city.

Keep in mind however, that this game has the look of a Danganronpa but doesn’t play like the previous titles at all. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is a third-person shooter of sorts, not the mystery solving games we’re used to.

Here are the other features:

  • Third Person Shooter Action Sequences: Use Future Foundation's Hacking Gun to have a fighting chance against the hordes of Monokumas as you traverse Towa City.
  • Tons of Different Types of Ammo: Tackle challenges with multiple kinds of Truth Bullets, such as Paralyze and Link. Upgrade your firepower with special Bling Bullet modifiers.
  • Riddles and Puzzles: The Monokuma Kids will challenge more than just your trigger finger; you'll need your smarts to survive as well. There's a lot to discover in the city, with a number of familiar faces and mysteries to unravel!

Check out the trailer playing above and try to hold out until Autumn.
