Daniel Radcliffe to star in Rockstar Games biopic about GTA

It's going to be dramatic!

Grand Theft Auto's history is ripe with drama — enough drama that Hollywood has decided that it needs to be made into a film. You might be wondering where the drama comes from. It comes from Rockstar Games' battle against former Florida attorney Jack Thompson.

Thompson waged a war against Rockstar over Grand Theft Auto. He believed that the families of murder victims should hold the GTA series accountable for causing these murderers. Thompson cited GTA as a "cop killing simulator" and brought continuous law suites against Rockstar (basically for every mainstream murder).

In 2008 the Florida bar Association had enough of Thompson, they disbarred him and fined him over $100,000.

According The Hollywood reporter, casting for the Rockstar film has begun.

It is being reported that British actor Daniel Radcliffe is currently in negotiation to play Sam Houser, president and co-founder of Rockstar games. The role for Thompson has yet to be cast, but it does have a writer and director. Screenwriter James Wood will be writing the film and Owen Harris will be directing the film.

We have dealt with Jack Thompson before.

Thompson appeared when we wrote an article that stated the blaming video games getting for the Navy Yard attack is both misdirection and irresponsible of mainstream media like Telegraph, MSNBC and Fox News. Not only did Thompson comment on that article, he began sending one of our writers emails saying things like "The problem with gamers is that their addiction has made them retarded."

So, you shouldn't have any doubts on whether or not this film is calling upon a real Florida (ex)attorney named Jack Thompson.
