With the success of graphic novels and comics being turned into video games, comic book publisher Dark Horse likes the idea of turning one of its series into a game.
“Sin City I always imagined to be a really cool open-world game where you really experience that city through the different characters," Nick McWhorter, Director of Custom Projects at Dark Horse, told PlayStation Universe.
Continuing, McWhorter likened his would-be game to Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5, which shook things up in the series by having you play as three different characters throughout the story.
"Look at what they’ve done with GTA 5 where they have three character’s perspectives," he explained. "Imagine them doing that with the black, white, red and yellow (that yellow bastard) and doing some cool open world game with cars, characters and brawling, utilizing the story in the seven books that have been created."
While I doubt Rockstar would take on Sin City as an open-world project, it is a series I could see a company like Telltale tackling. The studio has made quite a name for itself by releasing point-and-click adventure games based on popular graphic novel series, The Walking Dead being the most notable.
