Dark Souls 2 ‘Crown of the Old Iron King’ DLC out today

Crown of the Old Iron King, the second chapter of Dark Souls 2's The Lost Crowns DLC trilogy, is out today. Available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, the new DLC has been designed "to enhance, challenge, and bring players to their knees and yet make them yearn for more," Bandai Namco teased.

Although Crown of the Old Iron King is part of The Lost Crowns DLC, it features an entirely different environment — a world ravaged by lava, heat, and ash. Of course, if the environment doesn't kill you, the new horrid enemies, deadly traps, and gruesome bosses surely will.

Fear not though, our resident Dark Souls expert, Andrew Clouther, is hard at work on another walkthrough and guide for you. Each individual chapter of The Lost Crowns DLC is available for purchase for $9.99. However, on Steam (PC), you can get the season pass which grants you access to all three chapters for just $24.99. The first chapter, Crown of the Sunken King, was released back in July.
