Dark Souls 2 dated, collector’s edition and pre-order incentives outlined

Publisher Namco Bandai has confirmed Wednesday that Dark Souls 2 will be launching on March 11, 2014 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3; March 14th, in Europe. The announcement was made during the company’s pre-Tokyo Game Show conference.

A collector’s edition for Dark Souls 2 was also announced Wednesday. The special run will include a 12-inch figurine, cloth map, art book, and the game’s complete soundtrack.

Pre-order the game, standard or special edition, and receive the “Black Armor Edition" that comes in a metal case and features the aforementioned soundtrack.

PlayStation 3 users can get a first glimpse of the game by downloading the “Dark Souls II Beta Registration Ticket” from Sony’s website.
