PC gaming fans were incredibly stoked when Namco Bandai and From Software announced that Dark Souls would land on the platform as Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. When the game ultimately shipped, however, people were a bit underwhelmed at the lack of quality compared to the console versions. According to Dark Souls 2 Director Yui Tanimura, more attention will be put on the PC version of the upcoming sequel this time around.
"A lot of it was not very well done, sort of half-assed," stated Tanimura. "Yes, we will definitely put more priority on the PC. Last time, we started working on PC after the console version was complete. This time, because we are considering the PC from the beginning, you can be sure there will be more care put into PC development.."
Dark Souls 2 is scheduled to launch across the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on the same day. That should prove potentially promising for PC fans who were disappointed with the previous game.
