Dark Souls 2 PC release confirmed for April 25

Namco Bandai has confirmed that the PC version of Dark Souls 2 will be released on April 25, 2014.

"PC [and] STEAM version will benefit from PC capabilities with increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option," Namco said in its announcement. "On top of that, FromSoftware have been working to perfectly adapt the game for a mouse & keyboard combo."

Fans can pre-purchase the Steam version of the highly anticipated action-RPG right now for $10 less than the console version. Doing so will net you the following extra content:

10 early access weapons and shields:

  • Yellow Quartz Longsword 
  • Yellow Quartz Shield 
  • Bound Hand Axe 
  • Bound Wooden Shield 
  • Homunculus Mace

For those who can't possibly wait the extra month, you can opt to purchase the console version of the game (Xbox 360 or PS3) which is due out on March 11 across Americas.  It'll release across Europe and Australasia on March 14.
