Dark Souls 3’s wonderfully gaudy VHS cover art is also a t-shirt

April Fools is always a dangerous time to be on social media, but for gamers the holiday is especially perilous. From sequels to adaptations, game studios love teasing what could be in addition to what could never. This year saw butt poses, a ghost-catching device, questionable cologne, actual chocobos and even a Dark Souls 3 movie.

Shockingly, these projects never panned out, but From Software’s Dark Souls 3 movie did live on as downloadable alternate artwork. The VHS-inspired art gives the game that cheesy ‘80s horror movie look, complete with hideous fonts and ridiculous box blurbs. And thanks to its overwhelmingly positive reception, it’s also now on t-shirts.

Dark Souls 3 VHS movie t-shirts are now available for pre-order on Bandai Namco’s store, ahead of their upcoming May release. The $24.99 shirt is available in five sizes and comes in every color you want as long as it’s black.
