Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ content heading to consoles on October 24

Atorias of the Abyss, the added content that first appeared on the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, will be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via digital download.

Atorias of the Abyss takes you into the depths of hell through torturous dungeons where you'll encounter epic boss battles and what many consider to be the most challenging gameplay experiences. In the add-on, the darkness born in the forests of Oolacile is expanding and engulfing the kingdom and all of its people; it is your job to stop it. Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss includes new maps and environments, new boss characters, enemies, non-player characters, and a ton of new weapons and armor.

The DLC content will also provide console players with an "enhanced" online PvP mode allowing players to assemble battles against one another.

The add-on will be available for purchase from PlayStation Netowrk and Xbox LIVE on October 24, 2012 in Europe and Australasia. We have contacted Namco to see about a U.S. release date.
